Read!

Yes, like most writers and most librarians, I love to read. Ever since I was itty-bitty. In fact, as a kid, my dad always teased me that I would be a librarian someday. That’s because I read all the time—walking home from school, while brushing my teeth, under the table at dinnertime, and under the covers at night.

Anyway, if you are looking for a good book to read, you can see what I’m reading and what I think of it over at  my 2009 shelf

IMG_2349A disclaimer:

I don’t always have time to write reviews, but you should know that I only finish books if I’m enjoying them. While I’ll read just about anything–graphic novels, mysteries, science fiction, how-to manuals, historical romances, whatever–if it’s boring, frustrating, confusing, or I’m simply not in the mood, I move on. (I know; it’s not very democratic of me, but it’s MY free time.)

The books I list are the ones I loved enough to read to the end. Needless to say, and for whatever it’s worth, they are all highly recommended by me. (And that’s why there aren’t any books with just 1 or 2 stars.)
